Makerspace, Lego Club, computer classes, read to the Dog, Fiber arts circle, D&D Hoodland Public Library and Sandy Public Library will be closed for the following holidays: December 14th ---------  Sandy Library closed 12-2 pm  Hoodland Library to open at 2:30 pm Staff Appreciation On December 14th, we'll be showing some love to our hardworking staff with a special lunch. As a result, Sandy Library will be closed from 12 pm to 2 pm. Hoodland Library will open at 2:30 pm to satisfy all your literary cravings. When: Every 2nd and 4th Wednesday 6 - 9:00 pm Location: Sandy Library Community Room More Info: Steve Williamson Register HERE Following old-school D&D rules from 1980 -- just like in the hit show "Stranger Things" -- we are a friendly group of players both experienced and new to the game that gather around the table. Free group, but seats are limited so registration is required. Using a flexible sandbox-style approach, the players choose their adventure. Will you explore the mysterious ruins seeking the rumored treasure within? Or clear a cave complex of ferocious orcs and earn great reward and fame from the local lord? No matter what you choose, adventure and treasure awaits! We play the traditional way, rolling dice in-person around a table using "theater of the mind" and are open to players aged 13 to 3,000 (sorry, no liches allowed). Artwork Highlight Sandy Public Library has had the honor of hosting a couple exhibits of Audrey Moore's work in the past, and in the early 2000's Audrey donated this tapestry. Kiwanis Toy Drive We have received a collection barrel from Kiwanis Sandy Toy Drive! "This will be the 68th year of this remarkably successful program. Last year our request for donations aided in making it possible for us to assist 300 families within our community with baskets filled with food and toys." The Kiwanis ask that gifts be new and unwrapped or in the form of gift cards for teens.
