While we sincerely apologize for this unforeseen disruption, rest assured that our libraries are here to help you access resources through alternate methods. We encourage you to utilize the mobile version of our website at www.lincc.org

We will keep you apprised of any developments as we learn about them. In the meantime, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your library for assistance with your library account or our website. Thank you for your patience!

Following old-school D&D rules from 1980 -- just like in the hit show "Stranger Things" -- we are a friendly group of players both experienced and new to the game that gather around the table.

Free group, but seats are limited so registration is required.

Using a flexible sandbox-style approach, the players choose their adventure. Will you explore the mysterious ruins seeking the rumored treasure within? Or clear a cave complex of ferocious orcs and earn great reward and fame from the local lord? No matter what you choose, adventure and treasure awaits!

We play the traditional way, rolling dice in-person around a table using "theater of the mind" and are open to players aged 13 to 3,000 (sorry, no liches allowed).

Artwork Highlight

Sandy Public Library has had the honor of hosting a couple exhibits of Audrey Moore's work in the past, and in the early 2000's Audrey donated this tapestry. It currently hangs in the children's room in the Sandy Public Library. See a full tribute to her at the Damascus Fiber Arts School HERE

Staff Pick

- Kristi Granberg

Library Clerk

I've made buffalo chicken chili, all-american turkey pot pie (with chicken), and zucchini cobbler from this book. My pie (almost) even looked like the one on the cover!

"Savor hundreds of hearty comforts with freezer-friendly recipes, overnight dishes and other prep-now/eat-later specialties. A tight schedule doesn't mean avoiding your favorite comfort foods. Simply make them ahead of time! From the experts at Taste of Home, Make-Ahead Comfort Foods helps you serve the stick-to-your-ribs greats your family requests most--no matter how busy your household might be."

Kiwanis Toy Drive

We have received a collection barrel from Kiwanis Sandy Toy Drive!

"This will be the 68th year of this remarkably successful program. Last year our request for donations aided in making it possible for us to assist 300 families within our community with baskets filled with food and toys."

The Kiwanis ask that gifts be new and unwrapped or in the form of gift cards for teens.

Transportation Tapestry - Audrey Moore

 Art Collection Highlight

Audrey was the owner, heart, and soul of the Damascus Fiber Arts School. Audrey taught Tapestry on the Navajo Loom for over 50 years in this building. At home in the mountains outside of Sandy, Oregon, Audrey wove her bright and colorful tapestries on a large Navajo style loom. Her daylight basement studio has a wall of colorful wool yarn, a place to dye, lots of light and a wood stove for chilly nights.

Sandy Public Library has had the honor of hosting a couple exhibits of her work in the past, and in the early 2000's Audrey donated this tapestry. It hangs in the children's room in the Sandy Public Library.  See a full tribute to her at the Damascus Fiber Arts School HERE

Seed Library news for November

Happy November, Gardeners!

Seed Donations

Firstly, I am happy to share that we have had some seed savers drop off seeds for donation over this last month. Some may not be aware that there is a donation slip meant to accompany a donation. This provides us with the information needed for those checking out the seeds. It is such a gift to be able to share, especially when it is from our very own patrons!

If you were one of the generous patrons to donate any of the following, would you please reach out to me so I can fill in the missing information for the donation?

  • Black Oil Sunflower

  • Marigold

  • Showy Milkweed

  • Poppy Mix

  • Zucchini, Costata Romanesco (from Botanical Interests)

Bat Box

You may already be aware, but the city of Sandy has installed a bat house in Bluff Park. I feel so grateful that the city was able to provide additional support to our neighborhood bats.
Amy Lytle, who leads our Bee City initiative, consulted with Beth from OSU’s Bat Hub in Bend, and got expert advice on the placement of our bat house. She said it could take a couple of years for the bats to move in, but once they do, it could support up to 300 bats (if I remember correctly). If you would like to learn more about the work being done by Beth and her colleagues, please visit The Northwest Bat Hub’s website.

Pruning Trees

Fall is often a good time to get your trees pruned. I felt very empowered to prune my own ornamental trees, last year, with a pole saw I rented after attending a 10-Minute University webinar put on by the Clackamas County Master Gardener Association. Thankfully they have their event recorded and if you would like to watch it you can find it here with other videos on pruning in the garden:

Book Recommendation: “The Seed Keeper” by Diane Wilson

Lake Oswego Public Library had this book as their Lake Oswego Reads program pick and I am so glad they did. I was introduced to it when we had their traveling art exhibit at our library so I decided to give it a read, too. The book follows a girl from the Dakota tribe and the story of her journey into womanhood. This line from the publisher’s website sums it up quite perfectly, “weaving together the voices of four indelible women, The Seed Keeper is a beautifully told story of reawakening, of remembering our original relationship to the seeds and, through them, to our ancestors.”

Thank you for being here,
