Friends News - November 15, 2021

 November 15, 2021

We’re back! Well, maybe not that we were gone but just on a brief hiatus. Definitely not gone from the bookshelves and racks of the BOOKNOOK! We always keep them filled and ready for your browsing - pandemic or no pandemic.  When the Library is open, the BOOKNOOK is open!

In fact, we’re here to remind you today that the BOOKNOOK is prepped and ready for your holiday shopping!  Thanksgiving arrives next week, Christmas only a month later. Can Black Friday be far away?  Spend part of your Black Friday shopping at the BOOKNOOK where we can resolve many of your shopping list problems:

Children & YA – Find multiple varieties of chapter books,  picture books, series books for tots to teens.  The BOOKNOOK offers a great selection of hard-backed YA novels by just about every author of that genre for the teenager on your list.

Cooks & Gardeners – Bring a large shopping bag with you because it’s hard to leave these shelves without loading up on books for yourself as well as your “giftee”!

CD’s & DVD’s – Jazz, Classical, Rock, Show Albums, Religious, all on our CD rack.  Classic movies, TV series, Disney, and much more to be found on the DVD rack.

Fiction – Mysteries, Romance, Sci-Fi, Christian, Adventure, Fantasy...they’re all here at the BOOKNOOK.

Non-Fiction – Autobiographies, Decorating, Histories, Philosophy, Military, Diets & Health, Travel, Periodicals, whatever the interest of the person you are gifting, or yourself, you’ll find it on the BOOKNOOK shelves and racks.

Most important of all...AT PRE-PANDEMIC BARGAIN PRICES!

If you’re undecided about your choices while shopping, consider a BOOKNOOK gift certificate.  Check at the Library counter for the purchase of one or more certificates.

If you’re looking to donate to a charity before December 31 in order to get a tax break consider the Friends of Sandy Library Library Endowment Fund.  Think about the fact that your money would go to a local charity, supporting a local entity, run by local people, with all monies collected going to our local institution.  For more information contact George or Colleen Hoyt at 503. 668.8623.
